Central Ops Officer Assistant

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides customer support via the telephone.   Oversees all aspects of the Shared Operations department. Must be able to perform any and all duties in the Department.  Provides support to sister banks on operational functions.  Also responsible for training as well as performance evaluations.  Accountable for all actions, activity and performance in the bookkeeping area of Shared Operations. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Provides telephone customer service and support for external and internal customers regarding inquires and problem resolution. Researches and resolves problems as needed.
  2. Oversees Non-Post and EIM processing.
  3. Monitors weekly/monthly employee schedules for shared operations bookkeeping department.  Reports are prepared by the leads in each department.  Monitors vacation and sick leave.  Holds regular staff meetings with all employees.
  4. Responsible for all disciplinary/conflict resolution in department.
  5. Prepares employee performance evaluations for Shared Operations.
  6. Monitors all institution collection items handled by Shared Operations.
  7. Reviews Cash Items and Federal Reserve Bank Statements daily and helps with resolutions.  
  8. Tracks and reconciles offages that may occur in the cash items and blocks each day.  
  9. Develops and implements procedures as requested by management.
  10. Branch training on new products.
  11. Works with PDS on changes and upgrades.
  12. After hours contact for all Ops Center Issues/Branch issues.
  13. Serves as coach for Peak Performance.
  14. Audits review.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.
  16. Regular and reliable attendance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of ITI preferred.  
  • Must be able to operate a PC with keyboard accuracy and speed.  
  • Knowledge of windows-based programs on either an IBM or MacIntosh Computer.  
  • Skills in good customer service and telephone courtesy.   
  • Ability to work under pressure and have constant interruptions while doing assigned responsibilities including reconcilement, verification and computer input.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School or equivalent.   
  • Three to five Bank operations experience is required.
