Commemorating 250 Years of America
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
When our founding fathers penned these immortal words in 1776, they did so without knowing that 250 years later we would still be reflecting on them. In fact, they signed at great risk to themselves and their families. Even so, they made a promise to one another at the end of the Declaration of Independence:
"We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
